NUE-TREE Fertilisers

NUE-TREE FERT CRF is our controlled-release fertiliser (CRF) specifically designed for planting hole application.

• Every granule in NUE-TREE FERT CRF is evenly coated with an elastic polymer that controls moisture ingress to allow the nutrients to dissolve and be released over a prolonged period
• The rate of nutrient release is determined by soil moisture and temperature, i.e. it is effective in all site types regardless of soil pH or microbial activity
• Root activity increases as soil temperatures warm up and NUE-TREE FERT CRF releases nutrients to match plant requirement
• NUE-TREE FERT CRF is formulated to reduce the risk of nutrient losses from adsorption (‘lock up’), volatilisation and leaching and has a low salinity index to void phytotoxicity
• The product will typically release nutrients for up to 12 – 18 months post-application
• Provides nitrogen, phosphate, potassium and sulphur (N, P, K & S) – all essential nutrients for optimum establishment and tree health
• The high P content drives strong early root and shoot development post-planting

GAFSA BioPHOS is the world’s most reactive soft rock phosphate which means it starts releasing plant-available phosphate straight after application as well as providing a sustained release of nutrients for up to 5 years in most forest soils. Applied directly in its unground form, GAFSA BioPHOS was found to be the most suitable source of phosphate for UK in extensive comparative trials undertaken by Forest Research at Alice Holt and has been widely used since the early 1970s.

GAFSA BioPHOS application recommendations:

GAFSA BioPHOS PK combines the benefits of GAFSA BioPHOS unground rock phosphate with plant-available potassium for situations where both P & K are required.

• 0-20-20 + 33% CaO, 2.7% SO₃
• Unground rock / dense powder, 1.5kg/l
• Available in 25kg bags for hand application or 600kg bags for land-spreader
• For aerial application use GAFSA PK in granular form

GAFSA BioPHOS PK 0.20.20 application recommendation:

Our forestry NPK fertiliser is designed for use in low fertility sites or where heather check is a limiting factor. Although ‘straight N’ can help crops grow out of heather check, the subsequent growth boost can lead to induced P & K deficiencies. Applying all three major nutrients together – in the nutrient ratios as per the original Forest Research work at Alice Holt – reduces the risk of induced deficiency and provides a broad-spectrum fertiliser for optimum growth.

NUE-TREE FERT NPK 16-12-12 is a combination of Origin Enhanced Nitrogen (OEN), GAFSA and plant-available potassium with the N, P & K mixed in the proportions of 350kg / 450kg / 200kg to provide the recommended nutrient ratios regardless of the amount of product applied.
